CYPRESS

Cypress Semiconductor produces high-performance IC products for data transmission, remote communication, PC, and military systems. The company was established in 1982 and is an international corporation. At present, there are about 3000 personnel and a sales network has been established worldwide. The company is headquartered in San Jose, California, USA.

  The company's production bases include:

Site 1: In San Joseph, California, it is the company's first factory and current research and development base.

Site 2: Established in Round Rock, Texas in 1986, producing SRAM products.

Site 3: Cypress Semiconductor Philippines Inc. (CSPI) is an assembly and testing factory established by the company in the Philippines. It started production in 1996 and also has a similar factory in Indonesia.

In addition to having the earliest design center in Silicon Valley, California, the company also has design factories in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, Kentucky, New Hampshire, England, Ireland, and the Philippines in the United States. Starting from 1987, the 0.8 micron CMOS process technology was adopted. In 1992, it was transferred to 0.65 microns, and soon the 0.21 micron process will be introduced. Currently, more than 70% of products are manufactured using a process of 0.35 microns or less. At present, Cypress Semiconductor's new strategy is to target the high-capacity semiconductor market, taking a series of new steps: transferring product assembly and testing overseas, reducing product/packaging quantities, improving production equipment, etc., to improve production efficiency and shorten product launch cycles.

Cypress provides high-performance solutions for the core components of consumer electronics, computing, data communication, automotive, industrial, and solar energy systems. Cypress is committed to customer service, fully utilizing product performance based processes and manufacturing expertise to expand its product line to include wired and wireless USB devices, CMOS image sensors, timing technology solutions, network search engines, professional memory, high bandwidth synchronous and low-power memory products, optical solutions, and reconfigurable mixed signal arrays. Cypress stock is listed and traded on NASDAQ under the code name CY.
