Sharp Corporation (シャープ Co., Ltd.) was founded by its founder Toji Hayakawa in 1912. It is a Japanese electrical and electronics company with its headquarters located in Osaka, Japan.

  In 1915, Mr. Hayakawa invented a metal lead pencil called "Every Ready Sharp Pencil", which was very popular that year. This is the origin of the current Sharp company name and trademark. Afterwards, Sharp successively developed Japan's first mineral radio, black and white television, and the world's first all transistor electronic calculator, gradually developing into a comprehensive electronic manufacturer producing household appliances, communication equipment, solar cells and LCD panels, LED, LSI and other electronic components.

  We have 65 overseas bases in 30 countries around the world, including overseas sales companies, production bases, technology development companies, credit companies, component supply companies, and overseas offices. There are 22 research institutes in Japan and overseas. There are 26 business units including audio and video systems, communication systems, telephone systems, information systems, printing systems, integrated circuits, electronic devices, LCD, etc. The products produced are diverse, covering everything from complete equipment to electronic devices. Among them, semiconductor devices mainly include memory ICs, displays, RF components, IR data      communication, optoelectronic devices, microprocessors&microcontrollers, imaging products, LCDs, and various other ICs.
