  Hynix Semiconductor was founded as Modern Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. in 1983 and officially listed in South Korea in 1996. Hynix chip manufacturer originated from the Korean brand abbreviation "HY". Hynix, formerly known as modern memory, was renamed Hynix in 2001. Representative director: Quan Wuzhe.
